Plot: In this chapter, winter vacation started, so everybody stayed at home. Then suddenly at night, Fan came to Ji-Li's house, all bruised and bloody. After cleaning him up, the family had a discussion in the bathroom. Three days had passed, and Fan got detained. By that, the Jiang family is frightened of maybe the father will be detained. And he did one day. After the cryings and sobbig, Ji-Li's mother ordered her to bring some stuff to her dad at the theatre. When she reached there, the receptionist won't let her see her dad. Then a short guy came, and let Ji-Li see her dad. When she sw=aw her dad, he was in a working labor and the short guy is trying to make her go into Mao's ways.
Analysis: I think this chapter is important because it shows how the cultural revolution is, and how bad is it.
